Gozo Glass Studio
The Island of Gozo, Malta. The Maltese Islands of Malta , Gozo, and Comino, lie at the heart of the Mediterranean, 90 km south of Sicily and 290 km from the northern coast of Africa. With picturesque cliffs, bays and villages, Gozo is the second largest island of the Maltese Archipelago, so peaceful and tranquil that it has been dubbed “ the island where time stands still ”. This is the legendary island of the goddess Calypso who is said to have lured Ulysses to stay for seven years. Gozo is the very center of archeological surmise; with the Megalilthic prehistoric temples of Ggantija. Ggantija, are the oldest free-standing monuments in the world. Carbon dating has set the construction of the older of the two temples at about 3,600 B.C. far older than Stonehenge , 800 years older than the earliest known pyramid in Ancient Egypt.

Gozo Glass Limited is an internationally renowned glass blowing studio setup in a renovated mill on the tiny nine by four and a half mile Mediterranean island of Gozo, sister island of Malta. The family-owned business established in 1989, employs a team of craftsmen from nearby villages, and is currently constructing another complete glass blowing studio with a teaching facility. The hot glass team uses only the highest quality raw materials to create each individual art piece. A wide range of items are available in many designs, colors, shapes and special pieces are made to order as one-off items and limited editions.
